About University: Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University, also known as PSSOU, is a state university based in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. It offers distance education programs to students across the country. The university is named after Sundarlal Sharma, a well-known freedom fighter and social reformer from the Chhattisgarh region. Dr. T.D. Sharma was appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of the university on 2 March 2005. Later, Dr. Sharad Kumar Vajpai became the Registrar on 15 March 2005. Dr. B.G. Singh was later reappointed as Vice-Chancellor for another term.

PSSOU Admission 2025 

PSSOU Admission for the 2025–26 session is now open for students interested in pursuing various undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate programs. The university offers flexible learning through distance mode, making it easier for learners to continue their education from any location. PSSOU Admission Eligibility

PSSOU Distance Education UG Admission 

PSSOU distance education has opened its admission portal for Undergraduate Distance Learning programs for the 2025–26 academic cycle. The admission window is expected to be closing on 19 August 2025. Aspirants can register for a range of programs including BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, and BLISc. These undergraduate courses span a duration of 3 years and follow a semester-based system with 6 semesters. 

Applicants are expected to have completed their 12th-grade education from a recognized board to be eligible for admission with minimum passing marks of 45%. Along with this students have to pay a course fee that ranges between INR 4300 to INR 11200. To register students need to pay an application fee of INR 500 which is non-refundable. 

PSSOU Distance Education PG Admission 

Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Open University (PSSOU) distance education has begun the admission process for its Postgraduate Distance Education programs for the 2025–26 academic session. The application window is open and is likely to close by 19 August 2025. Interested candidates can apply for a variety of PG courses such as MA, MBA, MCom, MSc, MSW, and MLISc, offered across multiple specializations including English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Education, Political Science, Sociology, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

Students can opt for diploma courses in diverse specializations such as Computer Applications, Psychological Guidance and Counselling, Ramcharitmanas on Social Welfare through Science, and Yog Science.
