Pondicherry University is now accepting applications for its Distance Education programs for the 2025–26 academic year. Students who are interested can apply online through the official university website. The last date to submit the application is 31 August 2025, so it’s a good idea to apply early and avoid the last-minute rush. For all courses, admission is based on marks scored in previous exams. However, no entrance test is accepted by the university for admission.

To complete the application, students must pay a fee of INR 200. This can be paid easily through Net Banking, UPI, NEFT, or using a Credit or Debit Card. Students must know that the application fee is non-refundable. Along with the application fee students have to pay tuition, library, laboratory, and examination fees. Before applying, students must have both an ABC ID and a DEB ID, as required under the National Education Policy (NEP). These IDs help in tracking academic progress and are now mandatory for all applicants.

Students who are willing to get admission in any UG or PG program at Pondicherry University distance education have to meet all the basic criteria. Candidates get selected based on their performance in the previous qualifying examination and no entrance exam is accepted by the university. Pondicherry University distance education offers several undergraduate programs for the session 2025-26. The university offers courses like BCom, BBA, and BA in specializations like Economics, English, History, Political Science, Sociology, Journalism and Mass Communication. Students are welcome to apply for admission to any courses and the last date to apply is 31 August 2025. All undergraduate programs offered at the university can be completed in 3 years along with 6 semesters. 

To be eligible for admission, applicants have to pass an intermediate examination in any stream with a minimum of 45% marks. Students have to deposit the total tuition fees for UG programs that range between INR 9000 to INR 11000. In addition, applicants have to pay an application fee that is INR 200 for all courses.

MA in English, Sociology, and Hindi, MCom in Finance, and MBA in Finance, International Business, Human Resource Management, Hospital Management, Tourism, and Operations & Supply Chain Management. 2 years spread across 4 semesters is the total duration required to complete any postgraduate programs. Students who are looking to get admission have to hold a bachelor’s degree in any specific specializations along with a passing marks of 50%. 

Admission window is currently open for the session 2025-26 for all PG programs and the closing date for admission is 31 August 2025.  INR 11000 to INR 75000 is the total course fee for all postgraduate programs at Pondicherry University distance education. An application fee needed to be paid for any course is INR 200. The mode of payment accepted by the university is online.
