OSOU Admission 2025

OSOU distance education offers multiple courses under UG and PG program for the session 20250-26. The last date of applying at the university is 31 August 2025. The popular courses that are opted by the candidate are BA in Political Science, MA in Rural development, Political Science, Sociology, and Journalism and Mass Communication, and MCom. The admission is granted based on merit as no entrance exam is accepted by the university. Additionally, the process of taking admission is based on online mode. While getting registered students have to pay INR 500 as a registration fee which can be payable using online modes such as UPI, Credit or Debit Card, Internet Banking, Online Wallet, and more.  

As per the NEP (National Education Policy) 2020 guidelines, it is mandatory to create an ABC (Academic Bank of Credit) ID and DEB (Distance Education Bureau) ID for admission. For applying students have to go through the academic prospectus before applying.

OSOU Admission Eligibility

OSOU admission offers UG and PG programs for the session 2025-26 and the eligibility criteria for admission is different for each specialization.   • Admission to the PG program is offered to those candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from an UGC approved university or institute. 
  • There is no maximum qualifying age for admission while the minimum age is 17 years.

OSOU UG Admission 2025

OSOU admission for the academic session 2025-26 for all undergraduate programs is currently ongoing. Students can choose to apply for a BA program in multiple specialisations such as Economics, English, Hindi, History, Odia, and Political Science. The total duration to complete the UG program is 3 years which is spread across 6 semesters. The last date to apply for any program is 31 August 2025. 

To apply for UG admission students need to pass a higher secondary examination with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized university. The course offered to UG program range for INR 5500.  In addition, students have to pay a registration fee of INR 500 using any online mode.

OSOU PG Admission 2025

Odisha State Open University (OSOU) is inviting applications for distance education admission for the 2025-26 academic session to its postgraduate programs. Students can apply for MA and MCom courses offered in various specializations, including Economics, English, Hindi, History, Odia, Rural Development, Sanskrit, Sociology, and Political Science. The duration of each PG program is 2 years, divided into 4 semesters. The last date to submit the application form is 31 August 2025.

For admission to PG programs, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university with the required qualifying marks.
