Jammu University started the Centre for Distance & Online Education (CDOE), earlier known as the Directorate of Distance Education, in 1976. Jammu University Distance Education will start the admission process for various UG and PG programs for the academic session 2026. At the PG level program, the university offers 2-year MA programs in subjects like English, Hindi, Urdu, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Education, and Punjabi, along with Master of Commerce (MCom). To apply for PG programs, candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject. Jammu University distance education also offers a Diploma in Gyani and PG Diploma in Business Management with a duration of 1 year, for which a 10+2 degree in any discipline is required.

The admission process is going to start at Jammu University for Distance UG courses under the academic session 2026.
