Burdwan University Distance Education Admission 2025: Burdwan University distance education has started inviting candidates to fill out the online application form for the academic year 2025-26. The university is currently offering admission for all postgraduate programs. Students can fill out the application form until an expected last date of 24 August 2025. To be selected for admission to any specialized PG program students have to qualify the merit list. For special courses like MBA aspirants have to appear in an entrance exam like CAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT, and other recognized examinations. Burdwan University CDOE has open admissions for PG programs for the academic year 2025–26. The last date to submit the online application form is 24 August 2025. Admission to any PG programs does not require any entrance examination, candidates are selected based on their performance in the previous qualifying examination. However, candidates applying for MBA program have to appear in state or national level entrance examinations. The registration fee for all distance education programs ranges for INR 500, and payments can be made conveniently through UPI, QR Code, debit/credit card, or net banking. The application fee once paid cannot be refunded. 

Before taking admission to a PG course, every student must create an ABC ID and a DEB ID as required by UGC-DEB rules. If there is any mistake in the Aadhaar card or ABC ID (like name, father’s name, date of birth, or gender), it should be corrected before creating the DEB ID.

Burdwan University DDE Education Eligibility

To take admission in the distance education programs of Burdwan University, students must meet the basic eligibility criteria set by the university. The admission process is merit-based, meaning students are selected based on the marks secured in their previous qualifying exams and no entrance test is required.

  • For undergraduate programs applicants must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. A minimum of 45% marks is required for admission.
  • For postgraduate programs, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university, with at least 50% marks.
  • There is no upper age limit for applying to Burdwan University’s distance education programs.
  • Applicants seeking admission to the B.Ed. program will be eligible for reservation and relaxation in qualifying marks as per the guidelines of the Central or respective State Government, depending on which is applicable, for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other recognized categories.
  • In-service trained teachers working in elementary education, as well as candidates who have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode, are eligible to apply for the B.Ed. program.

Burdwan University Distance Education is set to begin the admission process for the B.Ed. program for the academic session 2025–26.
