Bharathidasan University Distance Education Admission 2025 is ongoing for the July session 2025-26, and the expected last date to apply is 10 September 2025*. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on previous academic performance and is completely done online. Students can submit the form online through the official web portal https://www.bdu.ac.in/cde/

CDE BDU offers 41 programs, which include 20 UG and 21 PG ( also MBA & MCA) through its Open and Distance Learning (ODL). Additionally, a total of 10 programs ( 3 UG and & PG) are offered via Online Learning (OL) mode. Some popular courses are BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MBA, MCA, etc, which are offered in various subjects like arts, science, commerce, management, and more.

Students applying for any UG program have to pay an application fee of INR 250. For PG programs, the application fee is INR 400. However, for professional courses like MBA and MCA, candidates are required to pay a registration fee of INR 550. 

Under the NEP (National Education Policy) 2020 guidelines, the university has made it mandatory for students to create an ABC (Academic Bank of Credit) ID and DEB (Distance Education Bureau) ID before applying for a particular program.

The eligibility criteria at Bharathidasan University CDOE are student-friendly and easy to meet. Admission criteria may vary depending on courses and specialization. The process of taking admission is usually based on online mode. Here are some of the eligibility criteria that needs to be fulfilled: 

• For admission to UG program students have to pass an intermediate examination with a minimum of 40% marks from an authorized board. 
• Students must have a bachelor’s degree in any specialization with at least 55% marks from an UGC approved university or institute. 
• Bharathidasan University CDOE provides scholarships to unemployed SC/ST students through the SC/ST Cell, as per government norms.
• Differently-abled students get 100% fee exemption on tuition and special fees for all programs. To avail this, they need to submit a valid certificate from the Differently Abled Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. 
• The university also offers full fee concessions for four programs like BA History, BA Tamil, MA History, and MA Tamil for prison inmates in Tamil Nadu.

Applicants who want to get admission to any undergraduate program at Bharathidasan University Distance Education can choose courses like BSc, BA, BBA, BCom, BCA, and BLISc. These courses are offered through multiple specializations such as Public Information, Information Technology, Geography, Economics, Botany, Mathematics, Zoology, Political Science, and more. The total duration required to complete any UG program is 3 years which is on semester-based pattern. Bharathidasan University CDOE is taking admission for the session 2025-26 and the last date to apply is 10 September 2025*. 

Students get selected based on their marks scored in their senior secondary examination. The minimum marks required is 40% from a recognized board. UG course fee at the university lies between INR 2700 to INR 10100 per year. Along with this a registration fee of INR 250 is required to be paid. 

Bharathidasan University Distance Education PG Admission

Bharathidasan University distance education offers various postgraduate programs such as MA, MLISc, MCA, MBA, MSc, and MCom. Financial Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Bank Management, Human Resource Management, Botany, Tamil, History, and English are some of the disciplines students can choose through the postgraduate program. Each postgraduate program can be completed in 2 years, while candidates can complete the MLISc program in 1 year.  

BU CDOE has started inviting candidates for the current session 2025-26 for all postgraduate programs and the deadline to get admission is expected to be 10 September 2025. INR 3500 to INR 18000 annually is the total tuition fee applicants have to pay for any PG program. Those who have a bachelor’s degree in any relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks from any UGC approved university are required for admission. The total registration fee needed to be paid is INR 400. However, for MBA and MCA courses the application fee is INR 550.
